A vertical rib joins the semi-lateral small knobs and provides it with greater  stability and increases resistance to lug tearing.  Side lugs have rectangular blocks, located in two different positions to give the tire more grip and predictability throughout all lean angles.

Additional siping on lugs increases surface area which improves traction, especially off-camber sections and a greater resistance to the degradation of the compound.
