MSC Tires MTB Lineup Introduction

We cleaned the slate and started from scratch. Introducing our 3 new MTB tires. Designed to suit a wide range of terrain and riding types. An easy to understand naming system and simplified casing and compound configurations ensures you get the right tire for the right type of riding.

 

Compounds

The best of the best, 3C Race - maximum traction and feel without compromise. Our special 3C Race compound uses 3 densities of rubber for outright grip.

All other tires are offered in Standard compound and Race compounds, with the race compound getting softer, slower rebounding rubber throughout.  We use a dual compound (2C) that uses softer rubber on the outer edge and firmer middle tread for lower rolling resistance and increased durability.

Casings

ProShield or SuperShield - Simple right? More aggressive riders and rough terrain should go for the SuperShield, it has additional sidewall protection and increases lateral stability so you can get away with lower running lower pressure. To maintain the supple feel which is so important for that extra grip and traction our ProShield and SuperShield protection extends from the bead to below the side lugs. 

 All tires are Tubeless Ready (except for the wire bead)

The Roller

Aimed at the XC/Marathon rider with exceptional rolling abilities and plenty of grip to handle world cup level XCO trails. Tall and ramped lugs help reduce rolling resistance as well as punctures. The high volume casing rolls smooth and hooks up with confidence in dry dusty terrain. Unlike typical XC tires, the Roller gets a straight row of continuous side lugs for predictable high speed cornering. World Cup proven with a 1st place at Nové Město UCI U23 XCO.

The Tractor

The Tractor is a wider spaced XC/Trail tire with a high volume casing and special reinforced ribs to make cornering more predictable while increasing lug durability. Available with our special Race compound for even more grip in corners and wet conditions. Matches up perfectly with the Roller on the rear. 

Optional 120TPI casing with more grip and supple trail feel. Can be matched with Gripper on the front for some serious trail speed and shred-ability.

The Gripper

Aimed at Enduro and DH riding. The name says it all - big lateral side lugs for absolute cornering ability and angled centre lugs for faster rolling. Textured contact lugs for improved grip in the wet, loose or just blown out trails. Available with our SuperShield and ProShield casing protection for extra lateral support and sidewall protection.

Unlike other tires on the market that are designed around the outdated 21mm ID, the Gripper is designed to suit 30mm-35mm internal rim widths.
